DECADES OF PASSION:<\/p>\n
Almost a century has passed since 1927, when Antonio Berlucchi began producing quality wines, using grapes from his vineyard, hand-harvesting, aging and bottling them within the fresco-adorned walls of his own cellar in Borgonato di Corte Franca. A founding member of the Franciacorta Consortium, and amongst the first to join the Franciacorta DOC and DOCG, the winery has faithfully interpreted Franciacorta\u2019s method and regulations with artisanal care and mastery since 1969. Today, style, elegance, freshness and minerality are the unique qualities for which Freccianera is celebrated worldwide.<\/p>\n
CONNECTED TO THE LAND:<\/p>\n
The Berlucchi family\u2019s connection to these lovingly-tended 70 hectares of vineyard, in the immediate vicinity of their Borgonato cellar, spans three entire generations. On this precious land, quality is always favoured over quantity, and production per hectare is carefully restricted in favour of the harvest\u2019s excellence. The grapes are cultivated in the heart of Franciacorta\u2019s morainic, calcareous and dry soil, blessed by temperate climates since times of old.<\/p>\n
THE TERROIR:<\/p>\n
Freccianera\u2019s vineyards are nestled in the very heart of the Franciacorta
\nregion, between Corte Franca, Provaglio d\u2019Iseo and Adro in the province
\nof Brescia – with its morainic amphitheatre, formed in the Third Ice Age
\nover 300,000 years ago. The boundary of each Freccianera vineyard has
\nbeen mapped and studied for decades, providing invaluable knowledge
\nfor assembling the Cuv\u00e9e. The nearby Lago d\u2019Iseo provides cool breezes in
\nSpring and Summer, and mitigates the cold, Northern winds in the Winter. A
\nconsortium zoning study completed in the 1990s identified six varieties of
\nsoil suitable for viticulture \u2013 four of which constitute the Freccianera terroir
\nvariety: Glacial Fluvial, Fine Deposits, Subtle Moraine and Deep Moraine.<\/p>\n

Inseparably linked to one\u2019s origins, raised with respect and love for the
\nland whilst embracing the world today, sharing family values and finding
\nwonder in what takes time in the pursuit of excellence, generation after
\ngeneration. This is the Berlucchi family\u2019s impeccable style. Antonio\u2019s
\nchildren – Francesco, Gabriella, Marcello, Roberto and Pia Donata – and his
\ngrandchildren, Nicola, Tilli, Alessandro, Elena, Antonio, Ignazio, Antonello,
\nGabriella, Lorenzo, Matteo and Sebastiano, the third generation currently
\nat the helm of one of the most esteemed and ancient Franciacorta
\nwineries. It is no wonder that Freccianera has remained a family-owned
\nbusiness. An expanding cellar in which the Franciacorta wines mature
\nunder authentic 14th-century vaults, and guests are welcomed into rooms
\nadorned with historic frescoes, the oldest dating back to the Renaissance.<\/p>\n
HANDCRAFTED IN OUR OWN CELLARS:<\/p>\n
Throughout its history, Freccianera has celebrated a century of passion by always adhering to three indispensable principles to produce its Franciacorta wines: grapes strictly harvested from its own vineyards with the maturation and bottling process personally curated in its cellars using exclusively autochthonous Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Nero grapes. The wines that celebrate a single occasion have taken a lifetime to cultivate.<\/p>\n
OUR WINES:<\/p>\n
Freccianera offers seven Franciacorta wines: four award-winning single-vintages, Extra Brut, Saten, Rosa, Nature, two Casa delle Colonne Reserves and Brut 25, one of the most treasured and popular Blanc de Blancs in Italy. The cellar\u2019s most traditional still wines are the M\u00e0ndola Curtefranca Rosso and the Ca\u2019 Brusade Bianco.
